About Us

THE DIFFERENCE

Nations Church is a great place to be. We are a church intent on serving an amazing God with all our hearts. We are passionate about our vision: “Advancing the Kingdom …Growing People To Be GOING People”. Such a vision starts with a desire to see our whole city touched with the life-giving power of the gospel. Our aim is to be an authentic expression of the love and power of Christ in order to fulfil the great commission of Christ.

Church means people. Our Church consists of ordinary people radically set free by a life-changing encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. We exist to serve Him with all of our hearts and sharing that new life with others in the community. We are worshippers. We enjoy expressing our love for God in a free and contemporary fashion. We also see relationships with others as important. At Nations we are also committed to seeing people reach their full potential as they serve Christ in partnership with others.

  • Vision

Our vision is simple: “Advancing the kingdom”. We exist to make disciples who in turn make disciples.

    Disciples build:

    1. An ongoing life-changing relationship with Christ
    2. Ongoing life-changing relationships inside the church
    3. Ongoing life-changing relationships outside the church

  • Mission

Our mission is based on Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:18-20 “make disciples of all nations”.

    Seek … Meaning/Community/Jesus (Isaiah 55:6, Matthew 6:33)
    Grow … Personally/spiritually (2 Peter 3:18, Ephesians 4:15-16)
    Serve … Discover/release/build (1 Peter 4:10)
    Go … Advance/connect/impact (Matthew 28:18-20)

The Team

My wife Annette & I have been Senior Pastors here at Nations for over eight years now. Our desire is to build a church that is a safe environment for people to find life in Christ and grow in that life. We believe in the church. It is God’s answer for a broken world. We love God’s people and our greatest joy is seeing them grow to become all God created them to be. We are also passionate about training and releasing the next generation of leaders and ministries into the Kingdom of God.

James is an ordained Assembly of God Minister and along with his wife Evelyn is in charge of Pastoral Care.

Donna is an ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God in NZ. She works as a nurse at the Dunedin Hospital. As well as her Eldership role she serves in a number of key leadership roles in the local church programme.

Rahul is a local G.P. and is in charge of Nations Community Care, as well as overseeing our Missions department. Rahul’s wife, Shweta, co-owns a boutique Pharmacy in Green Island.

Eric and his wife Rachel are both ordained ministers with the Assemblies of God in NZ. Eric is a highly experienced H.R. Manager who is now working as an H.R. Consultant.

Nations Mosgiel Pastors

My husband and I are the Senior Pastors of Nations Mosgiel Church which has been running since June, 2016. We didn’t know how much we would love the people we pastor until now; God has given us a love and care for people that we wouldn’t have if we weren’t in this role. We have enjoyed every minute of the new church plant. New experiences and challenges have strengthened us and helped us to build a wonderful team. With God’s guidance, we are excited about the future and what God has in store for us as a church.
